After purchasing my first pair of crocodile shoes, I fell in love with exotic skins.    Unfortunately, the selection available in the St. Louis area was extremely limited.  After securing my business license in Aug. of 2007, I founded Exotic Skin Footwear.  My goal was to bring quality exotic skinned shoes to the greater St. Louis area.  Women quickly began inquiring about a selection for them.  Because of the growing demand, I secured a wholesaler/manufacturer license to offer purses, wallets, business cases and accessories made from exotic skins.  Wanting to expand my customer base, I started offering fine leather shoes for men, neckties, and cufflinks.  Dress shirts soon followed.  Before long, I made the decision to fully enter the men clothing business.  Now the ladies apparel is steadily growing.

A name to represent the full array of clothing, shoes, and accessories was needed, and that is how Hinkle’s Haberdashery came to fruition.
